Dude we are very disappointed in you.
But guys, I can eat ice cream now!
Ok, that’s a solid point.
art table. (as told by Loreal)
My wife has a way with words. She exagerrates though, when we first got Stella home from the hospital she slept for a couple days straight.
today we will go look at a cute art table. the child is sleeping, and i should be rejoicing-
but sicko that i am i keep peeping into her room hoping she will sense me and hop outta bed and into the wagon so we can get the table. now this child never naps, never with any consistency. someone really wise once said (the sushi guy from The Kid), that it takes 5 to make a pattern, well she has never napped twice in a row. ever, maybe once in deep memory, but never has she napped two times in a row with the pattern-making consistency of 5.get it? but here i am with the fatal Stockholm syndrome so many of us parents seem doomed to catch, walking back and forth in front of her door, now and then clearing my throat, and randomly cuffing the wall. and she snores gently on. now it is no exaggeration that were i in here desparatly trying to work on an intricate project and in need of serious down-time , the whole of the pharmaceutical world would not be able to sedate her.
We got a puppy!!

Her name is Rosemary and she’s adorable and perfect and silly and fuzzy and sweet and we love her already.

So, there we were… we had just gotten home from hanging out at my sister and brother-in-law’s house for Easter and puttering around at Lowe’s when an unfamliar car pulls up in the driveway. Loreal and I were poking at our flower beds in front of the house so we just stand there waiting to see what was up.
Well, this guy gets out of the car, introduces himself as a neighbor and asks if we want a full blooded golden retriever pup! We exchange one of those “been married a while”
looks and say “Yes!” in stereo. He says they’re eight weeks old, have had their first round of shots and we can come on down and pick one out.
This is really awesome in a lot of ways. First, we got the pupsicle (or little miss puppy pants).
Second, it was killer timing. We have wanted a dog for a long time but it never really felt like the right time and we wanted to make sure that we got one at a time when we could really give it the attention it deserved.
Third (and this is a big deal) it has really made Loreal feel a lot more connected with this neighborhood. We have kind of a bummer deal as regards our housing situation and the short story is, we’re stuck in the suburbs. You know the old word “rue”? Well Loreal rues the day we bought this house because the location just blows, and we’re kinda stuck here because of the housing market. This is a lot to say that being given a sparkly little puppy by a neighbor creates a feeling of community for Loreal that has been pretty much non-existent up until now.
Needless to say, Stella is absolutely in love. She named her Rosemary (which fits perfectly) and has decided that she is now a puppy as well. So now we have two puppies, Rosemary and Millie (Stella) and they are sisters (as we have been informed).

Let’s hear it for the Easter Puppy!
This changes things a bit in my opinion but I think that the idea of creatives protecting themselves by retaining timestamped files and layered artwork is an important one.
Please read this! It’s a little long but it concerns any of us who create images for a living.
